They say what doesn't kill you will make you stronger. Well, we are happy to say that this great phrase rings true to us here at Mimma's.
As many of you know Mimma went through a divorce that literally tugged at her every thought and moment. She was managing the restaurant and trying to manage her personal life. Anyone who has gone through this knows that sometimes you wonder if what you do matters. Well, I happy to say, that this woman has amazing endurance and she has managed to keep her heart and her doors open. Her insight for growth and for a desire to continue to delight her patrons has been inspirational.
When you surround yourself with great people that really love you and support you; amazing things occur. Inspiration meets preparation.
Business is great. The last three years have been awakening to the call of living life to the fullest and making a new beginning for herself. And that's exactly what she's done.
I am Josie Brandon. A friend and someone who loves this woman to the core. She is a woman who has given to countless individuals & community organizations for great causes. She will give you the shirt off your back and will not think twice about it. She's what I call a "Really tough-Cream puff." (Tough high standards that will not settle for less and holds great sweet gentleness inside.)
When Mimma asked me to help and revitalize her restaurant with new direction, energy and excitement, I told her I would be honored. I believe in this woman with all my heart.
We are right on schedule, thanks to a great team.
It's not out with the old and in with the new. But rather, I'd like to call it taking the excellence from the past and integrating to what is fresh and new for our patrons for today. It's been fantastic and exciting behind these doors. You should see how Mamma Mimma and I exchange ideas in our Italian passionate ways. It's brutal and hilarious at the same time. Reality show could happen soon:) just kidding.
Listen, I've known Mimma for years. I featured her on my ABC television show years ago as the "Culinary Queen of Italian Cuisine" and I find it most amazing that God somehow put our paths together again.
This time, I get the opportunity to showcase her and her love of the most fabulous Italian Cuisine on a regular basis. Oh my goodness, this woman needs a vacation. She works non-stop. Actually, I need a vacation too. Send us your complimentary tickets please:)
